Is ESP needed in a car?

Right i'm thinking of buying a new ford fiesta. The ESP however is optional, and even after looking at various websites and brochures i'm still not entirely sure how it works or if i will need it. I have been driving for 2 years and live in London so no icy or skid prone roads. THX

What is pcm audio when i play a bd disc?

i have a yamaha 7.1 reciver and a 5.1 speaker system,when i play a bd disc in my blu ray disc to movie will play back in PCM.Shouldnt it at least be in Dolby digital or DTS? what is PCM? it dosent do that on standard DVDs
