Is it possible for someone to receive cable TV over rabbit ears antenna?

what if cable has been telling lie's about their signl and have been scrambling and hidding it for all this time till they found a way, like loosing og for good, so they can keep charging you for something you could have had for free like it was meant to be...the tobacco companys did it with nicotine, as far fetch as it sounds, what if it were true, and that maybe i could prove it...or prove that a person could get cable channels over rabbit ears no converter box,nothing pluged into wall except power cord to televison
