Do adults have a secret?

I dunno, u probably think this is weird, but I have a feeling that the adults all hav one big shared secret that the kids don't know what it is!!?!? Well, as if they all find the prices of petrol or money issues interesting, there has to be something else to it, but I'm not sure wat!!?! I k ow it's not or Santa claus, but somehow way bigger that they are sworn to secrecy by, is his all true??? I'm soo confused, PLZ help!!
