What do you call it when one religious group claim to be superior than the other?

Catholics claim to be the first christians without giving any evidence from the bible or historical doents.On the other hand all historical doents prove catholic church was formed as a result of fusion of pagan and christian practices in 4th century AD.By their claim the make themselves superior to other christians and even calls them 'phony'.This is exactly the term used by current pope to describe protestants.Another superiority claiming religious group is the fundementalist evangelicals of USA,they say jesus is going to come every other day,and terrify people and loot their money by selling religious information materials,when jesus said nobody knows the day and hour,except god the father.This kind of superiority complex brews misunderstanding,hatred,wars and death.Atleast in this scientific age shouldn't we take concrete measures to get rid of these kind of religious bigotry and make world a better place.
