I Get Virgin Media (NTL) Channels On TV through the Ariel?

I have Found MTV one, Disney Channel, Cartoon Network etc etc but they are not very clear and I get a cracky picture. I do not have the box but I recieve a crystal clear QVC will a signal booster make the channels clearer, Thanks
